Mac beta setup
Install Finn on macOS
Finn uses macOS Accessibility permission to make selected work apps unavailable during boundaries without closing those apps.

Download Finn
Use the Mac download on the Finn homepage when the beta is available.

Open the DMG
Open the downloaded Finn disk image from your Downloads folder.

Move Finn to Applications
Drag Finn into the Applications folder in the installer window.

Open Finn
Launch Finn from Applications.

Allow Accessibility access
When Finn asks, follow the button to System Settings and enable access for Finn or its protection helper, as macOS presents it.

Complete setup
Return to Finn after granting access and finish choosing your workday boundaries.
A few setup notes
- Quit any development copy of Finn or Electron if a packaged build immediately exits.
- Reopen Finn after enabling Accessibility if the permission does not update immediately.
- The production build is expected to be Developer ID signed and notarized; you should not need to bypass Gatekeeper manually.
